The Walther P99 is a semi-automatic pistol developed by Carl Walther GmbH, the German company Waffen Sports Ulm for law enforcement, security and civilian shooting market as a replacement for the Walther P5 and P88. The P99 and its variants are also made under license by Fabryka Broni Radom.

A new second-generation P99 was presented in 2004, with a custom trigger guard that "ski hump", which is evident in its first generation pictures eliminated. This was done to some users' comfort concerns about the previous style.The P99 has a polymer frame and steel slide tackle.
